Mentoring & Befriending Network ![]()
- The aim of the network is to connect and support mentoring and befriending projects in Merseyside, by sharing good practice, identifying and focusing on areas of development and helping to promote the work you do
This will be your network, for you to interact with, gain expertise from, and share ideas, successes and problems. We are happy to welcome up to two representatives from each organisation to join us.
What is the network?
The network is free and open to anyone involved in mentoring and befriending, supported volunteering and Buddying within the areas of Sefton, St Helens, Liverpool, Knowsley, Wirral area.
- The network meets approximately 4 times a year
- It is a chance for projects to share information and good practice and resources.
Benefits for the organisations to join the network.
- To provide networking opportunities with similar projects and promote partnerships.
- To share best practice.
- To offer and develop a process for communication, for problem and information sharing for all members of the networking.
- To raise the profile of mentoring and befriending projects in greater Merseyside.
- To develop the quality and sustainability of projects , through support from the network and approved providers standard.

Free Information and awareness raising sessions.
Links with other mentoring projects across greater Merseyside
Advice and information on all issues mentoring, befriending and volunteering related
The chance to receive regular email updates on events, news and info on all matters mentoring /befriending related.

The Greater Merseyside Mentoring, Befriending & Buddying Network are holding their next information network event on Tuesday 12th March 2013, 9.30am-12.30pm, at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Crosby Coastal Park, Off Cambridge Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, L22 1RR
