Volunteer Centre Sefton aims to match members of the public interested in volunteering with suitable volunteer vacanices with a wide range of local and national organisations in the voluntary, community, faith and statutory sectors.

If you have specific skills to offer and you cannot find what you are looking for on our database, you can offer your help direct to over 200 organisations in Sefton. We will forward your details to all the organisations registered with us.

Volunteering while on benefits

You can volunteer as many hours as you like while you are on benefits as long as you still meet the terms for getting them.

If you are claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance, this will mean you still need to look for paid work. You must be available to go to an interview if you are given 48 hours' notice. You must also be able to start work within one week of Jobcentre Plus giving you notice.
